Gentle Sedation Options

So Your Child Can Receive Dental Care Comfortably

Whether your child feels nervous, fearful, or needs more involved treatment, we offer safe, carefully monitored sedation options to help them relax — and

help you feel confident.

If your child feels anxious about the dentist, you’re not alone.

Many children feel nervous, fearful, or overwhelmed during dental visits. Some are simply too young to sit comfortably through treatment. Others may need more extensive care.

Our goal is simple:

To help your child receive the care they need in the calmest, safest, most comfortable way possible.

We offer three levels of sedation, depending on your child’s needs.

Our goal is simple:

To help your child receive the care they need in the calmest, safest, most comfortable way possible.

We offer three levels of sedation, depending on your child’s needs.

The Two Levels

of Sedation

We’ll recommend the option that keeps your child the most calm, safe, and comfortable based on their age, health, and treatment needs

Level 1

Nitrous Oxide (Laughing Gas)

  • Best for: Mild nervousness or anxiety

  • Helps your child relax while remaining awake

  • Safe and commonly used for children

  • Wears off quickly after the appointment

  • Your child can return to normal activities the same day

This is often perfect for children who just need a little help feeling calm.

Level 2

General Sedation

  • Recommended for complex treatment or specific medical needs

  • Your child sleeps completely through the procedure

  • Performed in a setting with higher level medical supervision

  • Continuous monitoring by trained medical professionals

  • Used when treatment requires a higher level of medical supervision

This option ensures the safest environment for children who require advanced medical support during treatment.

  • Allows treatment to be completed safely and efficiently

  • Carefully monitored throughout the entire visit

  • Helps complete dental care in fewer visits

This option allows many children to receive the care they need comfortably in a familiar office setting.
